Commemorated each year on the first day of winter and longest night of the year, National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day is a somber event of utmost importance. A public event, all are welcome as friends, civic and spiritual leaders, and community partners gather online to remember and honor the members of our community that died without stable housing this last year. The commemoration will include the reading of names, personal remembrances, musical performances, and opportunities to reflect upon the shocking inhumanity of homelessness.
