Healthy Futures Lynden Provider Partner Application

To be considered for the opportunity to partner with Healthy Futures Lynden in the development and future lease agreement for a child care facility within their community center project, please fill in all of the questions below. Applications will be accepted until May 14, 2025

C-RECC will screen all applications for eligibility and completeness and present all qualifying applications to the Healthy Futures Lynden board for selection. Applications will be ranked according to how thoroughly eligibility requirements are met and how well answers align with the HUB community center purpose and values. Applicants that indicate the ability to bring additional leveraged resources such as funding for furnishings, materials, and other start up costs will receive priority consideration.

All applicants should expect notification of application status via email the week of May 26th. Successful applicants will be invited to meet with the Healthy Futures Lynden Board for further consideration.

Upon facility completion, an initial 10 year lease agreement will be offered to the successful applicant. Please indicate your willingness to enter a 10 year lease agreement, and/or propose a different lease preference:

Describe your child care & early education experience. Please include names and dates of previous programs you managed/owned, as well as program details such as license status, capacity, ages served, and programming.

Tell us about the financial fitness of your current or previous programs. What are your specific challenges and how have you met those challenges showing long-term sustainability? What experience have you had with grant writing or other fundraising? Estimate the cost of tuition per child. How much do you currently pay for your facility?

Please share what funding and/or resources you have, or plan to acquire, that will prepare you for the initial start up costs of furnishing and operating a new child care business.

The mission for the planned "HUB" community center is to become a multi generational "3rd space" (after home & school) for community members to meet for physical, social and mental connection. How does your program philosophy align with this goal, and how would your program benefit from being a part of the larger community center campus?

How would your child care center be an asset to the Lynden community- How would you serve diverse community needs? How open are you to providing internship opportunities for local high school ECE students? How would you help working families while still supporting parents as the primary caregivers of their children?

As the community center is in the early planning phase, the successful applicant would have the opportunity to provide significant input into the planning and development of the child care facility. Are you willing to commit to the development process prior knowing the project completion date? If you are unable to commit to a partnership immediately, what is your preferred timeline?
