Our Purpose
In support of Opportunity Council’s Department of Early Learning & Family Services’ mission to get all children off to a strong start in life, the Center for Retention and Expansion of Child Care’s strategic focus is to support, strengthen and expand the quality child care marketplace throughout northwest Washington to better meet family and employers’ needs for care.
As such, C-RECC provides technical assistance and financial resources to positively affect the market at the same time it facilitates collaboration and partnerships between for-profit and not-for-profit child care providers, diverse employers, community organizations, local philanthropic groups, governments, state licensing personnel and others to innovate solutions that meet communities’ needs.
