At the Center for Retention & Expansion of Child Care Northwest (C-RECC NW) we work to sustain, strengthen and expand child care in Island, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom Counties.
We develop collaborative partnerships between business organizations and community members across all sectors, while providing current and aspiring child care providers with financial and technical assistance.

What We Offer
- Grant funding for child care start ups, expansions and stabilization of providers
- Business coaching and licensing support to providers
- Strategic solutions to help employers support their employees with child care costs
- Vital resources for providers and the families they serve (like Working Connections subsidy)
- County-level advocacy removing barriers to additional child care capacity, i.e. adjusting zoning laws that conflict with licensing guidelines
- Referrals for providers to training and professional development through WA State Early Achievers, Child Care Aware, and the Imagine Institute
- Technical assistance, including evaluations of project feasibility and development of implementation plans
